An old
dream
comes true.

Almost exactly 30 years ago I began teaching Argentine tango — alongside international courses, performances, competitions and milongas. This dance has been part of my everyday life ever since.

"Learning from the original source was essential — so I travelled to Argentina 11 times, where we studied with the old masters, now considered legends, absorbing every step we could."

Back then there was no YouTube, no video sharing platforms. In many cases, recording paid lessons was strictly forbidden — so every evening we would reconstruct the day's learning in the hotel corridor, capturing it with our little VHS camera. Those were the days...

TangoCodex was born from those years. This is not a "Learn tango in 10 hours" type of site. This is a knowledge base. A structured collection of tango figures that everyone can explore according to their taste, level and curiosity — from beginners to professional dancers.

Let us be clear from the start: this is my tango structure, built on my own experience and instincts. The best teachers and coaches know there is no single path to mastery. The very best also recognise when a student's unique gifts call for stepping — even departing — from their own well-worn path.
